The mighty oak is recognized as America’s National Tree. A long lived strong shade tree that can handle a wide range of soil conditions from swampy areas to (believe it or not) droughts! It has an impressive display of yellow leaves in the fall. The swamp white oak is also an important food source for many of our local wildlife.
